PICKING THE RIGHT GYM - BEGINNERS.

If you’re a beginner, or simply new to the whole gym thing then here is something I think should be considered when choosing a gym.
If you have the luxury of having more than 1 gym in your area, it’s worth taking the time out to have a look at them, especially if your PS affects your hands.
Not all weights, bars, dumbbells and machines are made the same. The old school weights are rare these days! Most fitness complexes tend to have the rubber dumbbells with a thicker handle, they seem ok but it isn’t until you progress that this makes a difference. I struggle to grip the thicker bars and dumbbells with my affected side, I have injured my wrist many maaaaaaaany times in trying to make gains!. The reason I train where I do is because of the equipment. The slimmer bars and dumbbells make a huge difference, especially when it comes to pulling movements; lifting straps do help but only to a degree.
